Chalet Galata...
Treat yourself to a luxurious stay in the Mont-Blanc region at this bright chalet located near the centre of Combloux, complete with a sauna and hot tub.
The chalet has a lift, and one of the lower-ground bedrooms, along with its en-suite shower room, are accessible for guests with limited mobility.
Nicknamed “the pearl of Mont Blanc” due to its spectacular location facing the mountain range, Combloux has a mini-market, a butcher’s, a bakery, a pharmacy as well as several bars and restaurants. You will find more options in nearby Sallanches, Megève and Saint-Gervais. Most of the neighbouring villages host a weekly market, where local farmers sell their delicious produce.
The free shuttle bus, which stops nearby, will take you to the slopes of Megève and La Giettaz in winter, as well as the entire Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area. You can also explore the area with the historic Mont-Blanc Tramway and soak in the waters of the Thermes de Saint-Gervais.
Outside the ski season, Chalet Galata is a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area on foot or by bike, with a huge choice of trails.
About the property…
Chalet Galata is a well-appointed three-storey property for up to 12 guests in five bedrooms, each with an en-suite bath or shower room. The floors are connected by a lift, making it suitable for those with limited mobility.
The entrance on the ground floor leads to a double bedroom with a private balcony, and another which also has bunk beds for two children. Both rooms have shower rooms with WCs, one of which is wheelchair accessible.
This level also has a sauna, a ski room with a heated boot dryer, and a two-car garage with a charging point for electric vehicles.
The first floor is dedicated to the spacious, open-plan living area, which has an impressive ceiling height of 6m. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the room with light, and open onto a wraparound terrace where you can enjoy a meal or admire the views from the seating area or hot tub. In the summer you can enjoy a game of pétanque in the garden.
Back inside, there's a cosy seating area with a fireplace and a TV corner, as well as a dining area. The modern, fully equipped kitchen has gas and induction hobs, a central island and a large American-style fridge-freezer.
After dinner, you can get together to watch a film in the cinema room before heading to the chalet’s comfortable bedrooms.
The master suite on the first floor has a large double bed, a dressing area, direct access to the terrace, and a bathroom with a shower, bath and toilet.
There are two more double bedrooms on the top floor of Chalet Galata. Both have en-suite shower rooms while one has a dressing room and the other has a private balcony.
The chalet has underfloor heating and cooling, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer.
About the area…
Less than a 20-minute walk from the centre of Combloux, Chalet Galata is ideally located for exploring the Mont-Blanc region.
Combloux is part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, along with its neighbours Megève, Saint-Gervais and Les Contamines. The Espace Diamant (Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Voland, Flumet and Les Saisies) is just a 30-minute drive away.
Experienced skiers will appreciate the opportunity to try night-skiing in the popular Vallée Blanche. This 23km piste with a 2,000m drop links the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace. A guide is essential to enjoy this magical experience, at its best under the light of the full moon.
Other winter activities available just a short drive from the chalet include dog sledding and snowshoeing. Those looking for adventure can try ice climbing, via ferrata or paragliding.
Outside the ski season, the region becomes a favourite destination for hikers and cyclists. Explore the Argentière glacier or the Baroque trail, a 20km footpath between Combloux and Les Contamines-Montjoie, which takes in some of the region's most beautiful Baroque buildings.
The man-made lake at Combloux is an ecological paradise fed by mountain streams and surrounded by wild flowers. Enjoy a meal in the restaurant or bring a picnic and relax with a view of Mont Blanc while the children have fun in the playground.
The nearby Mont Blanc Tramway is a great way to explore the area. Running from Le Fayet to the Eagles Nest on Mont Blanc, it gives skiers access to resorts such as Les Houches and the Plateau de Bellevue, and in the summer, it takes walkers to higher ground for some superb walks and incredible views. And when it's time to relax, there's not better place than the Thermes de Saint-Gervais (11.2km), where you can enjoy the spa or perhaps book a thermal water treatment.

“Mountain view paradise”
We selected the property because our friend group of 10 people had an an bath room for each Self and also the Perfect oppertunity to have Perfect evenings at the balcony with an superb view of the Mountains.
“Truly spectacular views”
The chalet has a magnificent entrance via the garage, after which you reach the enormous living room via a staircase. The living room is huge, yet it feels very cosy and welcoming thanks to the modern, sleek wood finish, soft lighting and chic fireplace. The snow-capped peaks of the Alps can be seen from every corner of the living room, offering truly spectacular views directly from the sofa or dining table. The same view can be admired from the terrace.The bedrooms are very comfortable with en-suite bathrooms, which are also in new condition, modern and spacious. The mattresses are very good. The chalet is somewhat secluded in a quiet area, so you will not be bothered by noise.This villa is definitely recommended, and even in small groups, the villa feels very homely.

We had an incredible stay at this chalet in Combloux. With 5 bedrooms, comfortably hosting up to 12 people, it’s the perfect place for families or groups of friends. The chalet itself is stunning: high ceilings that give it a real sense of space, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of Mont Blanc from almost every corner of the open-plan lounge and kitchen. Practicality is also thought of — there’s a lift for easy access to all floors, a large dining table where everyone can gather together, and all rooms have en-suites (which makes all the difference when staying with family or friends).
The wellness facilities make it feel like a retreat in itself — from the sauna to the jacuzzi, it’s the ideal place to unwind after skiing or a day hiking the beautiful alpine trails.

With five bedrooms and five en-suite bath/shower rooms, Chalet Galata has been meticulously designed to offer comfort and well-being to a group of up to 12 guests.
The property is located less than a 20-minute walk from the centre of Combloux, a charming and authentic resort in the Mont-Blanc region.
The entrance hall, connected to the ski room, allows you to settle in as soon as you arrive.
The chalet is beautifully decorated, with high-end facilities and large windows that flood the double height living room with natural light. A comfortable seating area with a television and fireplace is the perfect place to get together on long winter evenings.
The property also has a sauna, a hot tub, a cinema room, and a wraparound terrace that makes the most of the alpine scenery. There is a garden at Chalet Galata where you will find a pétanque piste, and the terrace is large enough to soak up the sun or enjoy meals together.
Three of the bedrooms also have access to a balcony.
Underfloor heating and cooling means that you'll always feel comfortable, whatever time of year you visit.
There's room for two cars in the garage, which has a charging station for electric vehicles. There are also more parking spaces outside.
Note that a lift serves the three floors of Chalet Galata, and that one of the bathrooms on the ground floor is wheelchair accessible.
